Simple Seeds #6

A little while ago, God showed me something in a dream. He showed me rolling hills all around me. I was staying in a home that was not mine. It belonged to an old man. He went into his room for the night. I woke up uneasy and glanced out the window to see what looked like an avalanche of fire.

The fire was moving so fast the smoke and fire were rolling down the hill. It was moving so fast! I only had a few minutes before the house would be consumed. I had to rescue the old man! I ran to his room and knocked and knocked.

I told him, “Hurry! The fire is coming!”

Why wouldn’t he come out? I knocked again and again. Finally, he opened the door. He was a slow old man. I helped him through the house to the outside. The fire department was there. The fire had moved so quickly. It burned all around the house but not one portion of the house was burned. Just some smoldering on the ground here and there.

I woke up from this dream pondering what on earth could it possibly mean. Why didn’t that old man move quicker? Didn’t he realize the fire could have killed us both?

God showed me some things about myself in this dream. He showed me I was so worried about the fire that all I was consumed with was getting the old man out of the house.

The old man was Jesus. I was not saving Him. He was saving me.

I should have opened the door and entered into where he was. I cannot help but think of those rolling hills being like waves on an ocean and the house being the ship.

God has set the course we are on. He has given us His Son as our guide.

Jesus is not worried. We should not be worried. I wonder if anyone on this earth has ever asked Jesus if he is worried about the situation they are in? Jesus is with us and is guiding us. Is He worried?

In your prayer life, do you find yourself in a constant state of petition before the Lord? Are you explaining to Him everything that is going on in great detail over and over? Are you trying to work things out when there is fire all around you and you don’t understand why the fire seems to get worse when you try to put it out?

We don’t realize who we are talking to. Sometimes I think we should start off all our worried prayers like this,

“Hello, Jesus”:

Everything we need is in His name. He is in this ship with us. He is longing for us to let go of what we can do. He is longing for us to go forward through the authority in His name and see what He will do.
Mat 8:26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.
Mat 14:31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth [his] hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt?
Luk 12:28 If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more [will he clothe] you, O ye of little faith?
He provides our every need.
Through every situation there will be an opportunity for His Power to be seen.
2Ti 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

The enemy is real. The enemy has power.

Luk 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

It is time to stir up the authority that has been given to us through Jesus.

Don’t be afraid of the things around you.

Speak the Word only. Let’s see what God will do!

God bless you
